Like every year an invited teacher of a different discipline will get in contact with Tango Argentino to facilitate the handling of our bodies during dancing. Kai Yin offers classes of Qigong after every tango unit to give new positive energy to our body and mind.
Friday, 25.th of June, at 8 p.m. a documentary film will be presented.

Saturday, 26.th of June, at 8:30 p.m. Luis Borda and his new Trio and Tango Project present the Tango Elektroniko - World Tango Effect for every participant of the workshop and all other dancers and listeners who wanna enjoy a nice open Air Milonga. Visitors may sleep at the Monastery (for contact see below).

01.07 | 9 p.m. | mon ami | Milonga with live music

On 1st of July, 2010, takes place a Milonga with live music:

ALMATANGO CUARTETO from Buenos Aires, well known as Almatrio, and now with a fouth musician, will give a concert in the style of Alfredo Gobi and Anibal Troilo. Instrumentation: Ricardo Badaracco (bandoneon), Julian Caeiro on the piano, Popo Gomez (contrabass) and the virtuosic violinist Lucas Furno.

Module 1

Technic for women and men
  • Connection with the dance partner
  • Translations and dynamic, floating circular movements
  • Harmonic and accented long movements within rhythm and molodies

Module 2

A sequence
Tango salon, milonga und valss in open and closed embrace

Module 3

Valse Traspie and Milonga Traspie
Dancers learn to play with the beat of the music to find their essence. With simple words said: Transpie is the doubling of beat within Milonga (2/4 to 4/8) or valse (3/4 ot 6/8), but in reality it is more than that, it is interpretation of the music, using the same elements of dance, but giving them a totaly different expression.

Rhythms from the North of Argentina - Chacarera - Gato - Escondido
Basic elements of different choreografies will be teached related to the music.
